E.manonata
Marking its third edition this year, E.manonata is a festival for school children interested in electronic music and composition. The event aims to encourage the creativity of teenagers and their courage to experiment and surpass the perceived norms within the seemingly strict boundaries of acquired knowledge.
This year, the festival brought together students from Vilnius, Klaipėda, and Marijampolė, who develop and refine their ideas through consultation with professional composers, Jonas Jurkūnas and Matas Šablauskis. The results of their creative process will be presented at the final show of E.manonata.

As a professional composer, Jonas Jurkūnas often puts jazz at the fore of his aesthetic preferences while also utilising remarkably diverse layers of musical heritage, from academic to pop, in his works. His compositional interests span several genres, including chamber, symphonic, and electronic music as well as multimedia and interdisciplinary projects. He teaches classical and jazz orchestration and composition of electronic and acoustic music.
In the search for new ideas, sound designer and composer Matas Šablauskis explores the borders of interaction between the audible and visible. He often employs traditional compositional techniques and knowledge of music technology before enriching them with the symbolism of Oriental art. He composes electroacoustic and electronic music and works on audio-visual projects.
